Our Goal at 'To Your Health' is to bring balance to the Body, Mind and Soul. Understanding holistic treatments means treating the entirety of the person based on the principal that when one part of the person is out of balance, it causes the entire system to suffer.

About Laraine Schigotzki
Once Upon A Time...
There was a little Girl who believed in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and that weeds (aka, herbs and plants) could heal the body. Many years later, the little Girl grew up to be extremely wise and understood that there really IS a Santa Claus, Food actually CAN Heal the Body and well, as for the Easter Bunny ~ that's just Weird!

Hello, my name is Laraine Schigotzki, and I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach, Certified Raw Food Chef and Personal Chef, Licensed Esthetician (Skin Care Specialist), Reiki Practitioner and soon to be Personal Trainer (to name a few of my many Talents!) ;) But where do I excel the most ~ LIVING LIFE!!!
At a very young age, I became aware of the natural healing through foods, herbs and lifestyle choices. I was extremely fortunate to have such a remarkable and knowledgeable Grandmother and spent as much time with her as I possibly could. Little did I know, but she was to have such a profound affect on me, and ultimately, my Life.
Our days would start with working the garden (I honestly thought she had a farm, as it was the biggest garden I've ever seen!). On our way to the garden, we would smell all the beautiful rose bushes and flowers to the left, and to the right, I would nibble on every kind of berry you could imagine. It was a feast just getting to the garden! We would work the soil, nurture the seeds we put into the earth, and then feast from the garden. My grandmother's medicine chest contained nothing but cobwebs, as everything we needed to heal us came from the garden ~ or the ocean! I'll just never forget feeling so alive and healthy when I was there! She also cooked with such Love and Passion, and I just Loved watching or helping her. I remember thinking “Oh my goodness, we're picking weeds ~ and Kohlrabi ~ and now Grandma is going to cook them and we actually have to Eat them?” Well, we ate them, and they were the Best Tasting Weeds EVER! It was simply Amazing how good food from the earth could be!
~ Private cooking lessons with Chef Alex Miles, France
Although I've worked Corporate America my whole life, I still lived with that same Passion and understanding from my childhood. Like many, I too had to overcome grief, tragedy and debilitating circumstances, but Always came out on top ~ with a Smile! I solely contribute that to my lifestyle choices, as many people could not see the Good through all the 'bad'. I always found people would gravitate toward me for 'guidance' of some sort. I knew that was my passion and finally left Corporate America to pursue a career in educating and helping people to live the Best Life they could Live! I attended skin care school, nutrition school and became certified as a Raw Food and Personal Chef (with private lessons in France).
Shortly after opening my business, I was interviewed by the Department of Labor, Washington, DC, along with hundreds of other individuals, and was chosen to be in their 100th Publication for my business! A few months later, I was contacted by Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine, interviewed, and was chosen to be on the cover of the magazine! Wow, what an honor (and an Extremely Surreal moment!!!) I have also done public speaking engagements, have been publicized in several magazines and was interviewed on Jersey Coastal Live blog talk radio.
So that's my story! I am incredibly Blessed to be doing what I Love, as it truly is so rewarding. Thanks for reading (I should have warned you and told you to grab a glass of wine!) And as I always say, a Toast "To Your Health" :) ... (when in France, "A Votre Sante") ;)
Btw, with the whole Santa Claus thing, do you want to know how I KNOW it's TRUE? Let me ask you this, have you ever been out and saw an older gentleman, with a white beard and perhaps a little 'Jolly' around the middle and said "Oh My Goodness, he looks just like Santa!"? ... Case closed! ;)
